The Howell Branch is a 30,000 square-foot building that opened in 2010 in Stafford County. The building was designed and constructed following LEED specifications - find out more about the green initiatives incorporated in the building.
Computers and Internet: All branches have public-access computers and wireless Internet access.
Exhibits: Picture rail in the gallery hallway and meeting rooms 1 and 2. Gallery hallway features monthly exhibits of local artists.
MakerLab: STEM exploration space for all ages to enjoy hands-on learning with a wide variety of high and low-tech equipment and activities.
Meeting Rooms: 180-seat room which can be partitioned to make two smaller rooms, one meeting room that seats up to 25 theater style and two smaller rooms that seat up to 8 around a table. Ask about a meeting room.
Study Rooms: 4 smaller rooms that seat up to 8 around a table are available to reserve for two hours. Contact the Research Desk to reserve up to one day in advance.
Notary Services: On duty during most branch hours by appointment.
Parking: 120 off-street parking spaces around the building.
Accessibility Features: 5 accessible parking spaces, accessible drop-off location at front of the building, drive-up book drop, automatic doors, no interior stairs, accessible restrooms, wheelchair and 2 walkers available for use, one set FM transmitter and receiver.

Directions & Map
- Exit I-95 at exit 133B to merge onto US-17/Warrenton.
- Follow US-17 for about 1.4 miles, then turn right at Plantation Drive.
- Continue on Plantation Drive for about 1 mile, then turn left on Lyons Blvd.
- Turn left into the library parking lot.
