"The Vampire Diaries" hits the small screen

The CW Network recently premiered  "The Vampire Diaries," a show based on the series by the same name written by  L. J. Smith.

Shiver: Move over Bella ... here's Grace!

Published on August 1, local author Maggie Stiefvater's novel "Shiver," is already a hit, debuting on the New York Times Best Sellers list. It's your basic teen love story: Girl meets boy. Boy meets girl. Boy is a werewolf ... fans of "Twilight," this is for you!

Fall = Fangs: "Cirque du Freak" and "New Moon"

 This fall has a lot to offer vampire lovers. "Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant" (see the trailer) hits theaters October 23, and "New Moon" will be out November 20.

England Run Construction Underway

Construction of the England Run Library is underway!
Take a look at recent pictures. 
The England Run branch of the Central Rappahannock Regional Library will be at the intersection of Plantation Drive and Lyons Boulevard in Stafford, and is scheduled to open in fall 2010.

 

Local Authors Book Signing Party

The Rappahannock Independent Film Festival

 The Rappahannock Independent Film Festival begins on Thursday, August 27. Thirty-two films from all over the world will be screened over the course of the 4 day festival, which also includes a film workshop, a musical performance, and social events.
