Teen Tech Week: March 7-13 - Learn, Create, Share @ Your Library!
Teen Tech Week, sponsored by the Young Adult Library Services Association, encourages teens to take advantage of the library's technology resources. At the CRRL we're celebrating Teen Tech Week with a video contest!
We want you to create an original video showing us why the libray is an important part of your life!
Teen Video Contest Rules:
Who:
Teens grades 7-12; Individuals or teams may enter.
What:
Create a video, 1-3 minutes long, about the Central Rappahannock Regional Library and, “Why the library is important to you.” The content of the video must be about the CRRL, and its topic or theme must relate to the use of library materials, resources, programs or facilities. Contact your librarian to book filming time with our Flip cameras.
The video may not contain inappropriate content, must be original work, and must adhere to all applicable copyright laws (including music, images, etc.).
All videos must be directed, filmed and edited by teens.
All entries are subject to screening by library staff and submitters will grant the CRRL royalty-free use.
When:
Submit your entry between March 1 and March 31.
How:
1. Create a video and upload it to YouTube. Contestants must create their own YouTube account in order to participate, or do so through their parents if they are not 13.
2. Submit your entry using the form below.
Winners:
Vote for your favorite video April 1 through April 7, on the library website. In case of a tie, library staff members will determine the winner(s). Winners will be notified during National Library Week (April 11-17).
Entry Form:
By submitting your entry you agree to the following:
- I hereby give permission for video images of myself, taken by me or another participant, to be used solely for the purposes of promoting the library, and waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto.
- I give permission for these video images to be posted online, on the library’s YouTube account, on local public access channels and on the library’s websites, for library promotional purposes only.
- (If under 18) I have my parent/guardian's permission to participate in this contest.
The names of all participants, including all individuals in the video, must be provided in the form below. Additional participants must also agree to the terms listed above.
